It wasn鈥檛 until Diane was sixteen, that her parents realized something was 鈥渕issing鈥 in their lives and began searching. To her 鈥渉orror,鈥 they started attending a Baptist church where she and her siblings were certain 鈥渨eird kids attended, and people rolled in the aisles.鈥 As their first service ended and the pastor gave an invitation, Diane became a 鈥渟tereotypical, white-knuckled pew gripper.鈥 She withstood conviction for several more years before receiving Christ as Savior. Diane served in 海角原创鈥檚 early years as part-time faculty and women鈥檚 volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading coach, and she claims the distinction of being 海角原创鈥檚 first Shakespearean 鈥渟hrew鈥 and Hamlet鈥檚 mother. She returns to 海角原创 with a notable resume of experiences. Diane taught classes, coached volleyball, and directed plays at Calvary Baptist Christian School (Watertown) for 30 years. Her next assignment took her to China where teaching English to university students and business personnel, leading the university foreign language team, and working individually with Chinese peers earned her the prestigious Friendship Award.
