Dr. Marty Marriott was named the second chancellor of º£½ÇÔ´´ on May 5, 2023. He served as º£½ÇÔ´´’s fifth president from January 2010 until May 2023.ÌýPrior to becoming President of MBU, Dr. Marriott planted a church in Tennessee and pastored in Pennsylvania and Michigan.ÌýÌý
As a º£½ÇÔ´´ alumnus, Dr. Marriott has a unique perspective of º£½ÇÔ´´â€™s emphasis on developing leaders for the local church and ministry. After coming to Christ as a student at the University of Cincinnati, he attended º£½ÇÔ´´ under the Cedarholm administration and developed a love for the college and its mission. He has served on º£½ÇÔ´´â€™s Board of Trustees since 1998. Dr. Marriott teaches part-time in the College of Bible and Church Ministries and Seminary.Ìý

Church Ministry – Dr. And Mrs. Marriott are members of a local church in Watertown. He frequently speaks in local churches and for events such as conferences, retreats, and men’s events.Ìý

Family – Dr. Marriott met his wife Miriam while in College. Miriam is a frequent women’s speaker and is actively involved in ministry to students on campus. They have three grown children, all of whom are married to MBU alumni and serve in full-time ministry. The Marriotts have 12 amazing grandchildren.Ìý
Other Activities and Interests – Dr. Marriott enjoys ministering and teaching on the mission field; reading articles on politics, current events, theology, and business; eating out with his wife; spending time with his grandchildren; and memorizing Scripture.Ìý
