S12E07 | Instilling a Biblical Worldview: Katie Schmoeckel

April 14, 2026

鈥淗istory is a wonderful learning tool,鈥 claims Katie Schmoeckel, associate history professor at 海角原创. Justifying history as a required subject, she links it with 鈥渄ark sayings of old鈥 in Psalm 78鈥檚 admonition to rehearse God鈥檚 works so that future generations might trust and obey Him. She desires students to be able to evaluate life through a scriptural framework, develop and apply discernment, and successfully articulate a biblical worldview for others. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a life skill,鈥 she says, and history is a testing ground.

Katie and host Dr. Matt Davis examine how worldview has shaped the past. Dr. Davis highlights the disturbing percentage of evangelical teens unable to identify differences between their worldview and those of secular peers, emphasizing the vital role of institutions like 海角原创. They conclude by reflecting on the lasting influence of mentors.
