WI Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch Speaks at MBU

海角原创 was honored to have Wisconsin’s聽speak in an assembly on Thursday, October 18.

Dr. Marriott opened the assembly by warmly welcoming and introducing the Lieutenant Governor. He reflected on her last visit to 海角原创 in 2015 and praised her many accomplishments while in office.

Upon taking the stage, Kleefisch explained her intent to speak on the threat that Americans and Christians face in today鈥檚 society.

鈥淧opular culture is changing, but our Constitution is forever,鈥 she said.

Kleefisch described the threatening attacks upon freedom of speech, freedom of thought, and the freedom to assemble as believers. She provided numerous and detailed examples, proving those threats to be real and true.

But Kleefisch didn鈥檛 end there. She challenged the students to stand against these attacks for the sake of freedom. 鈥淚 am asking you to get to know their viewpoint so you can speak intelligently and win arguments based on fact and science,鈥 said Kleefisch. 鈥淵ou will have to expand your worldview.鈥

In addition to the fight for freedom, she advocated the need for grace in these conversations. 鈥淚t is incumbent upon you as a believer in Jesus Christ, the ultimate grace shower, to show grace鈥ecause it is that guy who wins the day,鈥 Kleefisch said.

Kleefisch closed with a final challenge to the audience. With confidence she stated, 鈥淭he great birth certificate of our country, the Declaration of Independence, gives us three awesome freebies – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, given to us by God, not government. So, let鈥檚 make sure that government doesn鈥檛 take them away.鈥
